• Always use a good quality metal tape measure for accuracy.

If measuring for an inside fit, please check for any protruding objects eg. window/door handles, security/ storm bars, tiles etc.

Always measure in millimetres using the width measurement first followed by the drop measurement. WxD.

Inside Fit

Measure from side to side in 3 places, top, middle and bottom. Choose the smallest measurement, to ensure smooth up and down operation, even if there is a bow in the frame. Measure the drop and choose the biggest measurement, this will eliminate any light gaps, if window is not square or bowed.

VERTICAL BLINDS ONLY:
Measure from side to side at the top. Measure your drop in 3 places and give the smallest measurement to avoid blades dragging on the sill or floor.

Check the direction the window opens. This will determine the stacking side/s of the blades.
If ordering a pelmet, please measure the architrave (the outside frame) at the top of the window. This will be your pelmet measurement.

READY MADE PANEL GLIDES:

Ready made panel glides are factory standard left to right draw (left stacking), but can be reversed to right stacking. Max. width available is 3080mm. Centre opening is only possible by using 2 panel glides.

Outside Fit

Measure from side to side of the architrave in 3 places, top, middle, bottom and choose the biggest measurement. This way your blind will cover the whole architrave, even if there is a bow. Your mounting brackets can be spread out if needed. Do the same for your drop and choose the biggest measurement, so no architrave is left showing or light gaps left.
If you do not have architraves, only a plain window/ door opening, please add to both side measurements and the same to your top and bottom measurements, doors only top. This will give you more coverage and privacy.

VERTICAL BLINDS ONLY:
Measure the top of your architrave and to that measurement, if you want more coverage. This will give you your track size.
Measure your drop in 3 places and choose the biggest measurement for good coverage, unless your window stops at the floor. In this case choose the smallest measurement, so the blades will not drag on the floor. This applies to doors also.
If you do not have architraves, only a plain window opening, please add to your top and bottom measurements. This will give you more coverage and privacy. If your window stops at the floor, state the smallest measurement to avoid dragging on the floor, this applies to doors as well.
